Preparing for Life Beyond Iona

The major focus on Year 12 is to nurture, guide and motivate students to make the most of their final year at the College.

There is an emphasis to strive for personal excellence in both the ATAR and Access pathways whilst also creating a healthy balance between study, Co-curricular commitments, family and friends.

In the final schooling years, the Pastoral Care program centres on the role of leadership and service, and the evolution into responsible young adults.

This time is essential in preparing students for life after school and fostering an environment where each individual leaves school with the best possible opportunity to pursue their future interests.

Upon graduation, students are introduced to and connected with our strong alumni association the Iona Past Pupils’ Association (IPPA). A network of brilliant and inspiring women, graduates will feel an instant sense of connection and a place to call upon for lifelong mentorship, guidance and support. Once an Ionian, always an Ionian.

We encourage our graduating students to strive for academic excellence, to develop their social conscience, and to leave their schooling journey with a strong sense of self and desire to go out and enrich the wider community.
