After Hours Care

At Iona Presentation College we appreciate the juggle that busy families undertake on a daily basis in balancing substantial workloads, family commitments and general daily tasks. We are very pleased to offer convenient options to families who may need to undertake After Hours Care at either our Junior or Senior School Campuses.

Junior School

We are proud to partner with Camp Australia to provide our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program for before and after school care at the Junior School Campus.

Camp Australia programs are centred on child enrichment, whilst ensuring a reliable, engaging and hassle-free OSHC service on campus. Their engaged educators foster a safe, inclusive environment where children can undertake homework, enjoy educational activities, have fun and relax. Best of all, their program makes time for kids to be kids - to play and explore, share with friends and enjoy these precious school years.

Camp Australia OSHC is operational every day that students attend school.

Before School After School
7.00am - 9.00am
3.00pm - 6.00pm

Your OSHC

The before and after school program is tailored to the likes and interests of each child. Camp Australia's educators design enriching experiences to inspire confidence, independence and imagination. In any one week, students could be participating in science experiments, active play, creative expression and more - they believe in learning through experience so that each child can grow.

Rocketeers – Extraordinary Holiday Adventures

Rocketeers by Camp Australia is a space for children to escape the ordinary and experience the extraordinary during their school holidays. Every school holiday break is a new mission for children to embark upon. With carefully designed programs, directed by the children and informed by family feedback, no two days are the same with Rocketeers. Experiences planned could include games, arts and crafts, sport, excursions, cooking and coding.

Whilst we don't have an onsite Rocketeers program here at Iona, you can access care at the following services: Freshwater Bay Primary School, Melville Primary School and Swanbourne Primary School, or alternatively jump onto the Camp Australia website to find another program closer to you.

Find out more about Camp Australia's program, including hours of operation and fees. To attend care, you must register your child.

Senior School

In the heart of the Sister Albeus Fahey building on the Senior School Campus is The Solais – housing the Senior School library and ICT department. This state of the art and contemporary space redefines how students connect with information and media services. Supported by staff who provide expert technology assistance, students source relevant resources and enjoy either quiet private study or collaborative study with their peers.

The Solais is a warm and welcoming place for students to visit from 8.00am to 8.30pm (closes 4pm on Fridays) to study, borrow books, read, relax, be tutored and receive assistance in using databases, developing study skills and using digital technologies.

Monday - Thursday Friday
8.00am - 8.30pm
8.00am - 4.00pm

There are qualified teacher librarians who run a reading program every fortnight for students from Years 7-10 and are available in class and after school until 8.30pm to assist with all learning needs.

The Solais staff endeavour to provide reading materials and learning resources to meet each student's skill level. This ranges from books written for students with dyslexia, Kindles that can read aloud to students, graphic novels, audio books, eBooks and videos from Clickview, as well as educational databases such as Encyclopaedia Britannica.
