First Step on the Learning Journey
Familiarising your son or daughter with the magic and wonder of Iona’s ELC environment before their first day is very important to us.
For children commencing in Pre-Kindergarten, the College provides several opportunities for families to meet staff, explore the facilities and feel comfortable in the surroundings before the first day.
For students commencing in Kindergarten, families are also invited to several events to meet key staff, explore and have a play in the ELC as well as chat with other incoming parents. These opportunities occur prior to and in the year of commencement.

Commencing the Iona journey in a later year?
For families joining Iona’s Junior School after the early learning years, we hold a transition morning at the end of the year for both current and incoming students to meet the teachers for the following year.
Students who commence throughout the year are assigned a buddy who helps them with their transition to the Junior School.
