The First Step on a Lifelong Learning Journey
We know it is important for children to feel sale, supported and excited as they begin their learning journey.
For our youngest students starting in Pre-kindergarten, we offer a number of opportunities for families to visit our Early Learning Centre, meet the staff and explore the space before the first day. It is gentle and fun way to get to know our staff and their classrooms.
Kindergarten students and their families are also invited to attend special events throughout the year. These visits include time to meet teachers, enjoy the ELC and connect with other new families.

Commencing the Iona journey in a later year?
For students starting in the Junior School beyond the ELC years, we host a transition morning at the end of the year. This is a chance for new and current students to meet the teachers and get to know their new environment.
If you are joining us during the school year, we make sure you feel very welcomed by providing a buddy for each new student to help them settle in and feel part of the Iona community from day one.
