When I first set foot on the grounds of Iona Presentation College in 2021, an overwhelming sense of something truly extraordinary embraced me.
Iona is not just an institution; it's a vibrant, positive, engaging and inclusive learning community. It's a place deeply rooted in values, one that has thrived and flourished for well over a century.
As Principal, I am honoured to build upon the rich foundations laid by our founding Presentation Sisters and the countless others who have preceded us. Their inspiring stories, sacrifices, boundless generosity, commitment to excellence and unwavering compassion have nurtured a community grounded in service and justice.
Our students are encouraged not just to think of themselves, but to actively seek real-world connections and cultivate meaningful relationships within our community. From the earliest years in Pre-Kindergarten through to Year 12, our students, through active participation in our Service-Learning Programs, are making a tangible difference.
Today, our students find themselves at the threshold of an ever-changing world brimming with boundless opportunities. As educators, it is our duty to provide them with the tools and unwavering support they need to become resilient and agile lifelong learners, prepared for whatever path they may choose.
Our dedicated staff members are passionate educators who consistently exemplify the College value of Excellence in everything they undertake. We take immense pride in the outstanding academic achievements of our students year after year. Simultaneously, we acknowledge that each child's learning journey is unique. We offer a differentiated and holistic education that celebrates all achievements, whether they occur inside or outside the formal classroom setting, and regardless of whether they can be quantified by numbers alone.
In this spirit, we offer a diverse array of Co-curricular programs that cater to every student's interests. From athletic teams to service groups, from performance ensembles to production crews, we offer more than 80 clubs and activities that allow students to explore, grow and develop both skills and friendships.
Leading the community of Iona Presentation College is a tremendous privilege - a community that includes our dedicated staff, our esteemed past pupils, and most importantly, the remarkable young individuals under our care. I take great pride in witnessing our students as they mature, crafting their own narratives, chasing their dreams and venturing into a world brimming with possibilities, with Iona as a pivotal chapter in their life stories.
