When I first set foot on the grounds of Iona Presentation College in 2021, I was immediately embraced by an overwhelming sense of something truly extraordinary.
Iona is not simply an institution; it is a vibrant, positive, and inclusive learning community where engagement and belonging flourish. It is a place deeply rooted in values, one that has thrived for well over a century.
As Principal, I am honoured to continue building upon the rich foundations laid by our founding Presentation Sisters and the many who have come before us. Their inspiring stories, sacrifices, generosity and unwavering commitment to excellence and compassion have shaped a community grounded in service and justice.
Our students are encouraged not only to consider their own growth, but also to look outward — making real-world connections and cultivating meaningful relationships within the community. From Pre-Kindergarten through to Year 12, they are actively involved in our Service-Learning Programs, making a genuine difference in the lives of others.
In today’s ever-changing world, filled with boundless opportunities, our duty as educators is to equip students with the skills and support to be resilient, agile and lifelong learners — ready for whichever path they choose.
Our dedicated staff embody the College value of Excellence in all they do. We are proud of our students’ outstanding academic results year after year, but equally we celebrate each unique learning journey. At Iona, education is holistic, recognising achievements both within and beyond the classroom, whether or not they can be measured by numbers.
With more than 80 Co-curricular programs — from sport to service, music to production — students are encouraged to explore their interests, grow in confidence and develop friendships that last a lifetime.
