2025 Plain English-Speaking Award State Winner!

We are excited to share that Year 12 student Samantha L. placed first in the 2025 Plain English-Speaking Award (PESA) Western Australian State Final!

Samantha's outstanding performance earns her not only the state title but also the opportunity to represent WA at the national competition later this year, where she'll compete against the best from each state.

PESA was established to promote clear and effective spoken English, recognising its vital role in connecting Australians and fostering international understanding. As part of the competition, Samantha delivered a prepared speech, responded to an impromptu topic with five minutes of preparation, and participated in a formal interview.

We congratulate Samantha on this outstanding achievement and wish her every success as she prepares for the final round.
