Congratulations to Pearl Barrow-Jones (12 Moynihan), our Murdoch University Ngala Kwop Biddi Brighter Futures Scholarship recipient. This scholarship celebrates a Year 12 student who leads with purpose and create positive change in Sustainability, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, or First Nations leadership.

Pearl is an outstanding student whose compassion, initiative, and unwavering commitment to sustainability and animal welfare reflect the core values of this scholarship.

As a senior and active member of the College's Enviro Group and Young Pressies, Pearl has shown consistent leadership in initiatives that promote care for people and the planet.

She has led awareness campaigns such as Bread Tags for Wheelchairs and Clean Up Australia Day, mobilising peers to participate and educating others about sustainable action.

Her passion for animal welfare and environmental stewardship is evident in her extensive volunteer work - over 70 hours at Cottesloe Animal Hospital and 130 hours at Claremont Therapeutic Riding Centre - inspiring her choice to study Veterinary Science at Murdoch University in 2026.

As College Music Captain for 2025, Pearl has displayed collaborative leadership, fostering community among student musicians and coordinating ensemble performances. She is also the recipient of the Gwen Sivwright Award for Music Excellence, recognising her outstanding contribution and mentorship.

The College congratulates Pearl on her achievements, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this exceptional student.
