Celebrating Success in Workplace Learning
Workplace Learning is a structured, endorsed program that enables students to develop valuable employability skills in a real workplace while continuing their regular school studies. It provides meaningful industry experience and often creates pathways to further education, training and employment.
As part of the Access Learning Pathway at the College, Amelia B.(12 Columba) has been an outstanding ambassador for this program.
In 2024, Amelia undertook her work placement at Christ Church Grammar School, where she was part of the team at the Peter Moyes Centre for students with disabilities. During her placement, Amelia completed over 110 hours of hands-on experience and impressed staff with her natural empathy, professionalism and genuine care for the students.
This experience sparked a passion for supporting young people with additional needs, motivating Amelia to complete a Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support through the Fremantle Education Centre in 2025. As part of her studies, she completed her practical component at Christ Church Grammar School - and has since secured a contract for employment there for 2026.
Amelia's achievements are a testament to her dedication and compassion. The College congratulates her on this outstanding success and wishes her every blessing as she embarks on her vocation in education support.
